It’s official in Holgate, the football squad will have a new look in Tiger town.Due to very low numbers in the program, Holgate will be playing 8-man football this fall.They are currently setting up the schedule, and have 7 games on the slate.They include a road trip to Stryker, home and away games versus Toledo Christian, and Bishop Rosecrans in Zanesville, along with Michigan School for the Deaf, and Harlan, Indiana.More opponents are being sought to fill-out the schedule for ten games.Holgate is still urging any students that would like to play this fall to be at the opening practice on August 1st.The Holgate administration was intent on keeping football going at Holgate despite the low numbers, and felt this was the best way to move forward.
