If you want to celebrate Independence Day in Deshler you’ll have to catch it this Saturday.Activities are slated for Pirate Park, site of the former Deshler School.
The fireman’s breakfast gets rolling at 7am at the fire station Saturday, followed by a truck show on Main Street with registration at 8am.
The Deshler Fair Pageant will hit the stage at 10am, and at 11 there will be local artists and crafters along with food vendors.
There will be safety demonstrations from Deshler Police, the Patriot gymnasts will be in the dunk tank, there’s youth basketball contests, and the youth tractor pull hits the sled at 1pm.The Deshler Fair beer garden opens from noon to midnight, and there will be corn hole competition, and a Euchre (yooker) tournament.
The Deshler Fair parade gets rolling at 6pm Saturday, and there will be musical entertainment and fireworks to wrap-up the day.
