Can you think of a better way to celebrate the 4th of July than becoming an American.That’s what is planned at historic Sauder Village near Archbold, and you could be there to see it happen.On Thursday at 11am on the village Green, 55 people will take the oath of American Citizenship during a special ceremony at Sauder Village.There will be special patriotic music provided, the colors will be carried by the Fulton County Honor Guard, and Judge James Knepp, II will preside over the ceremony, and the Boy Scouts of Archbold Troop 63 will recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
On Saturday, July 6th, Tom Melville returns to Sauder Village to demonstrate the game of cricket; and there will be home-made ice cream cranked out like in the old days.You’ll see cow and goat milking going on, and a number of baby animals will be showcased.
