HIGHWAY PATROL STILL FOCUSED ON TAKING IMPAIRED DRIVERS OFF THE ROAD

If the highway patrol has anything to say about it, impaired driving will always be a focus for troopers. In the first five months of 2019, more than 10,000 arrests for impaired driving have been made around the state of Ohio.Last year there were over 13,000 OVI-related crashes, that led to 402 fatalities.Lieutenant Bob Ashenfelter with the Defiance Post says we can’t fight this battle alone. You can make roads safer by designating a sober driver, by planning ahead, and by making sure everyone in the vehicle you drive, is buckled up.

To report impaired drivers on the road call #677.Use that same number for drug activity you suspect or for stranded motorists.
