HIGH WATER CAUSING DELAYS IN CLINTON STREET BRIDGE PROJECT IN DEFIANCE

High water on the Maumee River is causing more delays in the Clinton Street bridge project in Defiance. In fact the swollen river washed-away some of the causeway that supported equipment down below for demolition of the current span. That causeway was rebuilt, and crews were back in the river over the weekend. They have two of the old piers left to bring down. And the next phase will be pouring the shafts for piers on the new bridge, starting from the north bank, working south.
