It was a huge month in the Defiance County title office, based on the report from Clerk of Courts- Amy Galbraith.There were 2,885 total vehicle titles issued in Defiance County for April, 710 more than April of last year.And a big reason why was a local car dealership sent their title business to Defiance County from Paulding County.That change meant Defiance County took-in about 1.1 million dollars in sales tax from vehicle titles last month, compared to about $576,000 in April 2018.Titles for new cars, new trucks, and vans all surged upward.And watercraft titles jumped from 14 in April last year, to 34 this year.The only category that showed a decline was motorcycle titles, which fell slightly in Defiance County for April.
