DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TALK SAFE-HOUSE AND SR. CENTER AT FAIRGROUNDS

The Defiance County Commissioners are talking about construction of a multi-use facility at the fairgrounds that could serve two purposes. The idea is to build a safe house on the fairgrounds that could also serve as a senior citizens center for the Hicksville community.

Commissioner Gary Plotts reports the board talked with Maumee Valley Planning Organization about funding, which could be available at 75% from a FEMA grant. It’s likely a two-year project, so Defiance County commissioners wanted to get the ball rolling as soon as possible.
