SCHOOL BUS STRUCK BY SEMI IN RIDGEVILLE TOWNSHIP WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON

A scary scenario unfolded in RidgevilleTownship Wednesday afternoon, when a school bus was stopped on U.S. 6 to let-off children, and a semi that was trailing on the highway couldn’t stop.The incident occurred at 4:06pm yesterday at Route 6 and HenryCounty road 24.57 year old JoAnn Cousino of Archbold was operating bus #8 for Archbold Schools, and had just dropped-off two children.The truck was driven by 48 year old Kelly Braden of Monroe, Michigan and swerved to miss the bus, but clipped the rear left corner.There were two little girls inside the bus; but neither was injured.The Henry County Sheriff’s office reports JoAnn Cousino was transported with injuries to the FultonCountyHealthCenter by Archbold Rescue.The Michigan truck driver was taken to another hospital by Ridgeville Recue.Deputies are still investigating the crash.
