The personnel committee of the Henry County Community Improvement Corporation is now taking applications for the director position, with Denise Dahl resigning effective April 30th.Close to a half dozen resumes have been submitted, with a deadline of March 29th.The CIC has yet to advertise the position on a state-wide basis.Once they determine if there are enough viable candidates, interviews will be set-up.
There was dialogue at the Tuesday CIC meeting concerning the potential for an industrial area to be set-up between Hamler and Deshler.There are state and area resources available to put infrastructure in place for projects like this.Hancock-Wood Electric has also talked about being part of the plan.
The expansion at Ohio Rotational Moldings in Holgate is now underway; and there’s talk another company may be looking at Holgate’s industrial park.
Next week, representatives from the governor and state and national legislators will be visiting HenryCounty to tour some sites.
