FATAL CRASH IN HENRY COUNTY, CAR FOUND IN CREEK

The Henry County Sheriff’s office has released information from a fatal crash and missing person complaint.  A deputy on patrol was searching for two men reported missing on Monday, and found their vehicle upside down in Turkeyfoot Creek just south of Malinta.  Two subjects inside the vehicle were found deceased, and pronounced dead by acting Henry County Coroner, Dr. James Kettinger.   The victims in the vehicle were identified as 44 year old John Fredrick of Liberty Center, and 44 year old Michael Boyd of Liberty Center.                The Henry County Sheriff’s office believes the vehicle was northbound on route 109, and went out of control on the curve.  The auto struck several trees, and went airborne, flipping onto its top in the creek.  Both John Fredrick and Michael Boyd were reported missing by their families on Monday, December 10th.           It’s believed an autopsy will be ordered by the coroner’s office.             Assisting at the scene was the Malinta-Monroe Township Fire Department, and Henry County South Joint Ambulance District.               Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s office.
