PURSUIT IN DEFIANCE MONDAY NIGHT

Police in the city of Defiance are looking for two subjects they believe were involved in a theft offense at the northtowne Mall.  Mall Security located the vehicle on North Clinton Street, and the pursuit led onto U.S. 24 headed eastbound at speeds approaching 100 miles per hour.   The suspect vehicle turned left onto Banner School Road.  Eventually the vehicle crashed at Adams Ridge Road and Corressel Road, striking a utility pole.  Two male subjects fled into a corn field; and the Defiance Police canine unit was brought to the scene.   But the suspects were not located.  The Defiance County Sheriff’s office and Highway Patrol assisted.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Defiance Police.
