Celebrating decades in training nurses was the theme of the recent board of trustees meeting at Northwest State Community College. Dr. Kathy Keister was introduced as the new Dean of Nursing at the campus, during the board meeing. She succeeds Patti Altman who will retire January 1st. The board of trustees got to hear about the success of the nursing program, which continues to achieve high scores in the licensure exams, sometimes exceeding state and national averages.
A special program to celebrate 30 years in nursing at Northwest State Community College will be held on Thursday, November 8th.
In personnel action, the board approved Anne Kindinger in data entry and testing, Jared Nofziger-associate director in financial aid, Nicole Hand –administrative assistant in workforce development, Debra Hartzell-program and clinical coordinator, and Brittany Galbraith-enrollment advocate.
The Northwest State Community College board of trustees also approved an employee benefits policy revision for non-union staff, consistent with contract employees.
