DEFIANCE SUPT. MIKE STRUBLE RETIRING IN 2019

The search for a new superintendent at Defiance City Schools will be getting underway in the months ahead, after current superintendent Mike Struble announced he would be retiring in July 2019.   Struble is a home-town boy, graduating from Defiance in 1969, where he played football and wrestled for the Bulldogs.  His educational stints have included coaching football and wrestling, serving as athletic director and principal, and he’s been superintendent at Defiance the past 13 years.  Other stops included the Edon School District, Springfield Northwestern, and Vincent Warren.  Mike Struble will wrap-up with 46 years in education.   The Defiance City School Board will likely start the search process in January.
