DEFIANCE COMMISSIONERS SEEKING BD OVERSEE AQUIFER

The Defiance County Commissioners reviewed possible solutions to creating a 3-state board that would oversee monitoring of the Michindoh Aquifer.  The idea of a regional council to oversee the aquifer is being researched.                          Commissioners also received notification that Ryan Mack was nominated to the state Telecommunications and Technology Policy Steering Committee.  The committee will explore ways that county governments are connecting to residents in building healthy, safe and vibrant communities through technology.

A bid opening was held for improvements to the village of  Ney Water treatment plant; but no proposals were submitted.   Maumee Valley Planning will be checking with the state for options regarding the project deadline of August 31st, 2019.
