A Napoleon man is in custody, following a rape incident that occurred August 25th in Henry County. 66 year old Edward J. Arps of Napoleon is being held on a cash bond of $50,000 after his arraignment in Municipal Court on a first degree count of Rape. A criminal protection order was also initiated by the court, if Arps is released from jail. GPS Monitoring would also be implemented at release from CCNO.
The defendant was also ordered by the court to turn-over any firearms. Edward Arps is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Thursday.
