Damage is estimated to top $150,000 in a blaze that ignited in a one-story home near Holgate Wednesday morning.   Crews from Holgate, Florida, and Monroe Township all converged on the residence along route 108 near state route 281 at 7:30am.  The flames ignited in a rear bedroom; but were contained to that portion of the home.   But there was extensive smoke damage to the rest of the structure.  No injuries were reported, and the family was not home when the blaze broke out.   A pet was lost in the fire.

The cause of the blaze is undetermined, but more investigation will look into a possible electrical start.  The house is owned by the Taylor family.
