FOUR COUNTY BOARD REVIEWS TAX ABATEMENT APPLIC.

Some tax abatement agreements were presented for approval to the Four County Career Center board of education last week.   Both applications were filed from Defiance County companies, including Defiance Metal Products, seeking to invest about $700,000 at their facility along state route 66 north of Defiance.   The site is in the Northeastern Local School district, and would include a 7,500 square foot addition for new machinery and equipment.   They have about 520 employees at their two plants in northwest Ohio.                         And Hillendale Farms is seeking an amendment in their tax abatement agreement to indicate they have invested $12 million dollars more into their Hicksville area location than they anticipated.  Hillendale Farms has about 113 employees, and likely will be adding more in the next 18 months.    Both of these projects are applications being proposed.

The Four County Career Center board hired Jim Buckholtz as District Mentor Corrdinator; and approved the purchase of a passenger van from Terry Henricks Ford of Archbold.
