DEFIANCE COMMISSIONERS APPROVE LEVY RENEWAL FOR DD

By unanimous vote, the Defiance County Commissioners have approved a resolution of necessity to place a renewal levy on the ballot for the Defiance County Board of Developmental Disabilities.  The renewal levy is .85 mills, and would cover a 6-year period, providing funding for programs providing for residents in Defiance County with mental retardation and developmental disabilities, including the Good Samaritan School.  The resolution certifies the auditor to determine the dollar amount of revenue that would be raised for this issue on the November ballot.
