The village of Holgate will be paying only 5% of a bridge replacement project in the community. ODOT reports they will be replacing the bridge on Elm Street that spans School Creek. The total project cost is close to $600,000, with ODOT picking up $492,000 of the expense. There was no indication on when that work would take place.
Holgate Council commended former mayor Frank Ordway, for being this year’s recipient of the Bob Helberg award from the school.
And the planning is underway for Holgate Community Day at the park, scheduled for Saturday, August 25th.
