The Patrick Henry School Board of Education has approved a resolution that would place a renewal levy on the ballot in November. The next step is to determine the amount of millage that will need to be collected for this tax issue.
Personnel action included the hiring of several teachers and coaches: Ray Green will be business education teacher and baseball coach. Shannon George will teach high school and middle school art. And Mitch Fisher was hired as intervention specialist.
The Patrick Henry board accepted the resignation of baseball coach Shawn Sunderman, from science teacher Matthew Caris, and from Lauren Logan, business teacher. The new wrestling coach of the Patriot program will be Xavier Dye.
Cafeteria and athletic ticket prices were approved, and remain the same as last year.
And the Patrick Henry board approved a nursing services contract with the Henry County hospital for about $63,400 for the coming school year.
