Save those recyclables. The village of Deshler is gearing-up for the re-opening of their new recycling center, in conjunction with the Wave Community Church, and Henry County solid waste management. The site will open Saturday, July 7th; and will be open every Saturday there-after from 9am till 2pm. The guidelines indicate only #1 and #2 plastics will be collected, along with cardboard and paper, along with aluminum and steel cans. The location is the Wave Community Church facility.
This year’s Deshler fireworks display will be held Saturday, July 7th at the Reservoir Park, sponsored by the Sons of the American Legion.
And free swimming days at the Deshler Pool are set for Saturday, June 30th, and July 7th, sponsored by the American Legion and Auxilliary.
