The village of Deshler will again be providing police protection for the village of Hamler, with an annual contract approved at $20,000. That’s the same figure as last year, and means Deshler will send crews for 15 hours of patrol per week. The contract officially runs from mid-May this year to May 2019.
Deshler Council was informed there will be no Corn City Festival; but options are being explored for the future.
And the final signup for swimming lessons will be this Thursday evening at the Deshler Swimming Pool, from 5 till 7pm. The first session runs from June 18th through 28th, and the second will run from July 9th through 19th.
The Deshler American Legion and Auxiliary are providing a special treat to the community, providing free swim days at the Deshler Pool, on June 22nd and July 7th. The free swim is for children and adults those days.
