A home-grown company in northwest Ohio that has expanded to 1,000 employees in several locations will be bought-out by a larger corporation from Tennessee. Alex Products entered into a definitive acquisition agreement with North American Stamping Group of Portland, Tennessee. North American Stamping is a Tier-2 automotive stamping and assembly supplier.
Alex Products is a leader in critical seat structures and components, and has about 1,000 staff members in four facilities, totaling 450,000 square feet of space. Those locations are the original plant in Ridgeville Corners, along with Bryan, Paulding, and a sales office in Michigan. David VonDeylen from Alex Products reports he is invested in the continued success of Alex Products, and looks forward to expanding their seat business by utilizing North American Stamping Company’s bigger footprint. VonDeylen will be vice president of seating at the new company. He says North American has a strikingly similar culture to Alex Products: relationships with customers and employees are indispensible. The combined companies will have ten total manufacturing facilities, two technical centers, 2,000 associates, and 450-million dollars in sales each year.
