The board of trustees at Northwest State Community College has authorized a construction project that would increase security on the campus. The plan includes installation of electronic access control at selected doors for emergencies. An architect is being hired, and then contracts will be awarded for the improvements. A grant of a half-million dollars from the state capital budget is helping to pay for the project.
The Northwest State Community College Board approved Michael Leonard as chair of Agricultural Studies, Paul Ernest as Training Coordinator in Advanced Manufacturing, Pete Pritchard was hired as Director of JFS-Workforce, along with Andrea Morrow as training coordinator for the JFS-Workforce program.
In other personnel action, Megan Batt was promoted to Executive Administrative Assistant, Melissa Vine to Payroll Accountant, and Makenzie Warncke to counselor in financial aid.
