The Corrections Center Board of Northwest Ohio has placed the executive director of the regional jail on administrative leave, pending an internal investigation. Jim Dennis was placed on leave, and the CCNO board authorized their legal attorney to hire an investigator to delve into the matter. No other information was released regarding the investigation; but Director of Security and Operations, Dennis Sullivan was named as acting executive director. He will share those duties with CCNO board chair Brian Davis. Jim Dennis has been executive director at the regional jail since 1993.
In other action, the CCNO board approved incentive pay for hourly security staff, to keep the best employees on-staff. A $500 payout will be made in August, and another in December. That cost is covered under the current operating budget.
The current inmate population at CCNO is 636, after averaging 640 over the past two months.
