There’s a new health commissioner for Henry County. The Henry County Board of Health announced that Mark Adams, the current sanitarian for the city of Canton was approved for the position. Adams will begin duties on May 7th, and replaces Anne Goon, who was let-go as Henry County health commissioner in 2017. Mark Adams administered educational programs in his previous position, along with supervising environmental health programs, and responded to over 100 local and regional public health incidents. Adams has also served his country for over 24 years with the U.S. Coast Guard. He was selected for the Henry County Health Commissioner position from over 30 candidates.
