NAPOLEON HOSTS REVITALIZATION MEETING

The city of Napoleon continues to gather input from the public as they gear-up to submit their application for a half-million dollars in the community revitalization program.  The most recent meeting last week included background on the various projects in the plan, including street repairs on Rohrs, Raymond, Third and Fifth Streets.   The sewer will be replaced on 3rd Street, along with drainage work in the area of the new Henry County Senior Center.   Improvements to street-lighting and sidewalks are proposed; and playground equipment may be added adjacent to the soccer field nearby.

The grant would totally fund the project, if approved.  Local residents attended the meeting along with representatives from the Lutheran Home, and a proposed neighborhood senior housing development.

Two more meetings are scheduled to gather input, on May 3rd at 12:30pm at the senior center, and on May 17th.
