In Defiance County Common Pleas Court, sentences were handed down for convictions in impaired driving charges. 50 year old Koby Welch of Malinta was sentenced to 36 months in prison for his DUI, along with a lifetime ban on driving. A fine of $1,350 was also imposed. 53 year old David Whitmore, Jr. of Defiance received the same sentence for Driving under the Influence.
Bond was set at $15,000 for 30 year old Augustine Chapa of Wauseon after his arraignment in Napoleon Municipal Court on a felony charge of Possession of Drugs. Chapa is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Thursday.
And in Fulton County Court, 21 year old Mark Cormack of Wauseon pled guilty to Aggravated Assault. Cormack was placed on community control for two years, and ordered to serve 30 days at CCNO.
