Traveling to school could be safer for students in Defiance, if a grant application is approved to ODOT. Defiance Council approved that grant application at their meeting Tuesday, seeking 95% funding of a multi-use path along Cleveland Avenue. That path could handle bikes and pedestrian traffic, with the city’s share at $20,000, plus another $85,000 for design, if approved by ODOT.
