There are talks underway at the Defiance County Commissioners’ office, where they are considering a renovation project on their first floor. Beilharz Architects have estimated the cost at about 1.2 million dollars in a project that would include better use of space, and upgrading the records retention area. The last renovation in the Defiance County Commissioners facility was 1996 on the second floor. The first floor portion of the structure also includes the adult probation department. No decision has been made at this point.
