JURY RECOMMENDS DEATH PENALTY FOR WORLEY IN MURDER

The jury in the Fulton County murder trial for James Worley of rural Delta is recommending the death penalty for the convicted killer.  The jury of 8 women and 4 men deliberated just 6 hours, and then returned the sentencing recommendation.  Worley’s attorneys had sought life in prison without parole for their client, telling jurors he would likely die in prison before the death penalty would be carried out.  But the Fulton County prosecutors pushed for death by lethal injection due to the heinous nature of the crime.   The death penalty recommendation now goes to Judge Jeff Robinson for final sentencing determination on April 18th in Wauseon.
