Bids are now being accepted for the new water plant construction in the village of Hamler. The project has an estimated price tag of about 1.5 million dollars, and bids will be opened on April 18th. Hamler has secured grants totaling about $900,000 for this project, with construction anticipated to get underway by late May. The new water plant is the first phase of the project, and the next phase is replacement of the distribution system around town, along with adding some more pipelines. Any contract for construction would have to be approved by Henry County Commissioners.
