With the tax deadline about two weeks away, the city of Napoleon is offering special hours to help residents file their local income taxes. This year’s due-date for local income tax returns to be filed and paid in Napoleon is Tuesday, April 17th. The city income tax department will be open extended hours on April 9th and 12th, from 7:30am till 7:30pm, those days only. There will also be extended hours provided on Saturday, April 14th, from 8am till 1pm. The tax office will be open normal hours on April 17th, the due date, until 4pm.
All mailed-in returns should be postmarked on or before April 17th to avoid a late fee. And always make sure your return is signed by both taxpayers if it is a joint return, with property W-2 forms included.
