LIBERTY CENTER SUPT. RETIRING AT END OF YEAR

A loss for the Liberty Center school district will be a gain for another educational agency.   Superintendent at Liberty Center, Dr. Tod Hug has announced he will retire from the district at the end of December this year, taking a position as director of the Northern Buckeye Educational Council, which also oversees the NWOCA (no-wocka) computer network.   He will begin those duties in January, after serving the Liberty Center district for 3 and a half years.   Hug has over 32 years in education.           Due to increasing numbers in the program, the Liberty Center school board approved Katherine Bell as a vo-ag teacher beginning this coming school year in August.             Cameron VanArsdalen was hired as Director of Off-Campus pupil personnel at Liberty Center.             And the board accepted the resignation of Dorothy Kalisik as custodian.

The Mel Lanzer Company was awarded the bid for renovation of the administrative offices, with that work underway, and set for completion in July                    And the athletic boosters have directed installation of heating and turf at the Spring Sports complex building.   This was all paid through private donations.
