DESHLER RECEIVES FINAL DT REVILITZATION APPLIC.

The final projects have been submitted in Deshler’s revitalization grant program.   Deshler Council reviewed the latest applications from Rodenberger Funeral Home, Wave Church, and the Corn City Regional Fire District.   That takes the total applications for funding to $270,000, with local applicants paying a portion of the improvement costs.   There were 23 total projects submitted for downtown revitalization in Deshler.

Pam Abrams was sworn-in as the newest council person, replacing Mark Schwiebert, who is moving from the village.

That led to some new committee assignments for council.

And an agreement was approved with the Corn City State Bank regarding implementation of an electronic payment system for businesses to submit withholding taxes in Deshler.
