It’s time to celebrate agriculture in Defiance County on Tuesday, March 20th, with the annual appreciation and ‘hall of fame’ breakfast. The public is invited to attend the event at the K of C hall in Defiance, beginning at 8am.
This year’s ‘hall of fame’ inductee is Ray Clevenger, a former ag-teacher in the Tinora district for 30 years. The guest speaker for the event is Dr. Hans Kok , a soil specialist who immigrated to the U.S. from the Netherlands. Reservations can be made by calling the OSU Extension office in Defiance at 782-4771, and are due by the end of the day this Wednesday. The cost for the breakfast is $4, which represents the farmer’s share, which is about 20% of a meal.
