The city of Defiance is moving forward with some projects for the community. Defiance Council passed the second reading on an ordinance to make improvements to a parcel just off U.S. 24 at Domersvillle Road for a new business development site. They would also establish a municipal public improvement fund for the economic growth.
First readings were approved for phase-2 of the Splash Park construction at over $230,000, with another $98,000 going toward playground equipment at the site. And as a safety measure, Defiance Council is moving overhead utility lines at Bronson Park underground in a project cost of nearly $32,000.
