HENRY COMMISSIONERS APPROVE DT REVITILIZATION

A couple of downtown revitalization grant applications in Deshler were approved by the Henry County Commissioners on Tuesday.  The Edwin Wood Memorial Library was approved for a grant of $20,000, as part of their renovation project, with the Library putting over $20,400 toward the construction.                            Another application was approved for Sunderman and Rode Law office at just under $9,000 for their renovations.  The company will match that total for the project.

Both projects are part of the overall downtown revitalization effort and grant awarded to Deshler.

Henry County Commissioners are discussing the installation of a covered walkway for the Perry Street entrance to the Courthouse.  Another project being considered is a handicapped accessible door for the Board of Elections in the Oakwood Office Complex.  No action was taken on that issue, or on an executive session to discuss personnel on Tuesday.
