The annual meeting of the Henry County CIC served as the setting for presentation of awards, and an update on the spec building project.
This year’s ‘citizen of the year’ award was presented to Dan Brubaker of Hamler. The Henry County CIC ‘partner of the year’ is Shannon Jones, director of Job and Family Services. And the ‘volunteer of the year’ award-winner was Don L. Parsons of Deshler.
CIC Director Denise Dahl reports its been a busy week at the spec building on Independence Drive in Napoleon, where there were two site-visits by prospective companies looking to expand. Both visitors were from out-of-state, and are looking at manufacturing facilities. Henry County should know in the next month about both potential companies.
The spec building is progressing to the point where concrete floors and docks have been poured, and walls are now going up. The city of Napoleon has already run utilities to the site.
