A four alarm fire in Putnam County early this (Wed.) morning sent crews to a house north of Continental, along state route 634. The first call was received at 3:59am, and Continental fire crews reported seeing flames coming from the house when they arrived. The blaze totally destroyed the home, and one fire-fighter was treated at the scene for minor injuries. No other injuries were reported. Continental was assisted by Oakwood, Ayersville, and Miller City Fire departments; and the Red Cross has been called-in to help the family with housing. The Putnam County Sheriff’s office reports crews were on the scene past mid morning; and the cause of the blaze is undetermined at this point.
