Personnel contracts were approved for a number of directors in the Liberty Center School District. The board of education awarded 5-year contacts to Sheri Stacy-transportation supervisor, Ruth Niese-EMIS coordinator, Trevor Hug-technology director, Dustin Mays-network assistant, and to Amanda Voss as school psychologist. The Liberty Center board Tom Gerberich as assistant in track, and the board hired junior high track coaches: Luke Crozier, Bryan Miller, Shawna Rauch, and Kara Estelle.
The board also accepted the retirement-resignation of Susan Garretson as lunchroom cashier, at the end of the school year.
The Liberty Center board approved the 4th bid package for work on the new school project at 3.4 million dollars, which includes renovation of the current building, asbestos abatement, demolition of structures, and construction of parking lots. This is below the estimated cost of 3.7 million dollars. 2 residents were named to the Liberty Center public library board of trustees, including Kody Kessler and Elizabeth Frost. And overnight trips were approved for the Liberty Center middle school headed to Washington DC in June 2019, and the FFA trip to a convention in Columbus this May.
