The Defiance County Commissioners have called an emergency meeting for this afternoon to discuss the impact of flooding in the Evansport area. There may be a need to sandbag some areas where homes are threatened by high water on the Tiffin River. EMA director Julie Rittenhouse reports that homes along the Auglaize and Maumee River should be ok, according to the latest reports from the National Weather Service. But her agency will continue to monitor the situation.
