As the district gets ready for construction of a new administrative office building for Wauseon Schools, the board of education has approved going with a metal roof for the structure. The additional cost of over $78,000 should be matched by the longer lasting expectation for the roof.
The Wauseon Board approved the re-assignment of Brittany Webster to 1st grade teacher, and Timothy McQuade was offered a contract as school psychologist. Sheila Vernot was named the district mentor coordinator, and the following were named assistant coaches: Megan Fields-softball, Christian Crew-track, and Steve Marks-baseball.
And the Wauseon board approved the school calendar for next year, with opening day for students this summer, on August 22nd.
