HELP FOR DAIRY FARMERS

A new agreement in the nation’s bipartisan budget will provide a safety net for dairy farmers.  Ohio is the 10th largest milk producing state, pumping out over 5,500 million pounds of milk in the recent statistics.

Senator Sherrod Brown reports the change will help dairy farmers through tough economic times, including excess production and lower market prices.  The total investment in a safety net for the dairy industry is 1 billion dollars.
