ADAMS BD REVIEWS OVERDOSE & SUICIDE NUMBERS

There were positive signs involving overdose numbers; but suicide is still an issue in northwest Ohio.   That was part of the report at the Thursday meeting of the Four County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services.   Overdose numbers in the area fell from 30 to 8 last year; and suicides were still over 20 in the report filed with the Adams board.

Funding of $180,000 was approved to provide preventative health services and routine screenings in area schools.                       The closing of Family Service of NW Ohio is expected at the end of June, and the Adams Board will help clients transition to other service providers.    Many of the services of Comprehensive Crisis Care are being sent to the new Renewed Mind location in Napoleon.

And following an executive session, CEO Les McCaslin was authorized to negotiate for the purchase of the Comprehensive Care Building on Freedom Drive in Napoleon.
