NEW SECURITY MEASURES FOR HENRY COUNTY COURTHOUSE

It’s been talked about for nearly a year; and now its being implemented.  The Henry County Sheriff’s office has installed new security procedures at the Henry County Courthouse, for the safety of patrons and employees.

Beginning today, visitors to the courthouse in Napoleon will still enter at the west side first floor doors.   They will then have to pass through a metal detector, and empty pockets of cell phones and keys; along with any other metal.   They will also be stopped for a deputy to run a metal detecting wand over their body.                Another change means the visitor’s entrance to the Henry County Courthouse will not open till 8:30am, and remain open till 4:30pm each week day.                   Henry County Sheriff Mike Bodenbender has also hired a new security officer for the courthouse, it’s Melissa Brothers of Napoleon.
