There’s a new member on the Napoleon Parks and Recreation board, as Ryan Funchion was sworn-in for a seat at the Wednesday night meeting. The board also elected officers, with Matt Hardy re-elected as president; and Peg Funchion as vice president.
Discussion at the meeting focused on replacement of the old playground equipment in Glenwood Park, adjacent to the swimming pool. The city has budgeted $25,000 to bring-in new pieces. But the Napoleon Rec board wanted to go to the experts before deciding on which playground equipment they will purchase. So they will be doing a survey with third grade students at the Napoleon elementary before making their decision.
