DEFIANCE COMMISSIONERS SEEK GRANT FOR VETERANS

The Defiance County Commissioners are hoping some left-over money in the state budget might be utilized on a local project.  The board is submitting a grant application to the Capital Budget Review to help pay for some of the cost to construct a new senior/veterans pavilion at the Defiance County fairgrounds in Hicksville.   They proposal is for a 40 by 60 foot structure, as they seek $60,000 in the grant.              The fair foundation has also proposed the purchase of a modular restroom facility for the fairgrounds, with an estimated cost of $37,000.  The structure would be handicapped accessible, and offer mens and womens facilities.   The fair foundation is seeking help from commissioners in the installation.
