The next phase of construction for the Liberty Center school district will get underway in the coming months. The board of education approved the fourth phase of their facility project, which includes abatement of the old section of the school, along with demolition; and then renovation of the current building for administrative offices, and then site work to wrap-up. The total cost of those parts of the project will be over 3.4 million dollars. But that figure is about $178,000 under the engineer’s estimate. The Liberty Center board will be rebidding the paving portion with concrete, since no proposals were submitted.
And the board approved the school calendar for next year- 2018-19; which features another later opening day to construction. Students first day this fall will be September 4th.
