There’s word from Columbus, the ODOT TRAC commission has approved 6 million dollars in funding for construction of a second bridge over the Maumee River in Napoleon. Henry County Engineer Tim Schumm reports this second span has been in discussion locally since 2007, when the Perry Street bridge was replaced. Engineer Schumm reports about 2 million dollars locally has been set-aside for design and construction; but more grants and loans will be sought to pay for the project.
